My name is Peni Matea , I am a energetic 19 year old teen from the Fiji Islands. I am currently in my first year of Unis at the university of the south pacific. I love meeting new people and socializing with them. I have a strong interest in Fashion Designing and has always been passionate about it ever since I was young, I am also curious and interested about modelling and envy those that are great at it. Being a teen that was born in the Fiji Islands and has lived my entire childhood in here, I am always fascinated by what the world has to offer. Yet sometimes I feel as if my dreams and goals are not validated based on how society standardize people. Despite this, I will always remind myself that there is more to life than Limits and Insecurities.

I believe that the Fashion Hero TV Series, has created such an empowering platform for people from all walks of life and races to have an opportunity to experience and be apart of the fashion and modelling industry, regardless of their size, height and physical appearance. This TV series not only empowers people but also encourages them that their dreams are valid.

If I were to be the next face of the Fashion Hero, I would empower people all over the world that fashion shouldn't be labelled by what society thinks but by the confidence level of any particular person, to break down the barrier of their comfort zone and explore their ability despite peoples opinion about their physical appearance. Thus empowering the also rejected and changing the way people view and standardize the Fashion and Modelling Industry.
