As a plus sized women who is half Jamaican and half Sri Lankan, its been hard to find people like me changing the game. The face of diversity is always a person of colour who is skinny or a plus sized white women who is more curvier than most, setting untouchable standards and recreating restrictions over traditional norms. But not this time. This time you now have a person who has gratefully inherited all of the neglected features that will turn the fashion industry upside down, for the better. My neglected race, size, and odd but relatable personality, all share a story that will empower others and inspire the future faces of beauty. Choose me to be the new face of The Fashion Hero and I promise that every person who has ever felt neglected due to their looks will be tuning in because they now see a face that disrupts the traditional standards.
