My name is DeJánai and I am a biracial black and Hispanic woman. I only wish to see that the world can be accepting and appreciative of the things that make us all unique individuals. Diversity is the key to a thriving environment and in my environments we never fail to thrive. Colorism is a dilemma I’ve faced since being a child. Not being “Mexican” enough for my Hispanics or not being “black” enough for my Black family. What I am is not what I received which is accepting of others and their amazing abilities, differences, and styles. I am, we are, it is, only one race. Human.

I think the show is a brilliant idea and manifestation of great minds and forward thinkers. I couldn’t help but want to be apart and also feel so blessed to have stumbled upon it.

I lead by example and my methodology is something I give myself high (but humble) credit for as well as my amazing parents. There’s so much I can go into detail about but mainly my goal is to inspire people to have a more open heart and mind to the endeavors of everyone willing to be true to themselves.
