Hi! I am Samantha, I am 26, and I am a freelance model! I am based in upstate NY and I am enrolled in college for a dual bachelors in Management and Marketing! I am actively engaged in socials like the gram and the tok! While in college I do freelance modeling to express myself through art and collaborations with photographers, other women, and MUAH artists. I think this series is fun, but even more, I think it is influential! The concept of this show creates a platform for innovative norms for people to support.
I think I would be a great role model because the fashion industry to me is like an ex boyfriend who doesn’t want you anymore. You love him, but you’ll never get to partake in his life. LOL! That’s what it is like for me as a petite model! There is very little inclusivity for petite models in fashion, let alone high fashion! I love the industry and admire it, but the normal standards will never let me take part in it. I also have a very unique look, I have five freckles/moles that photographers always try to photoshop out because they are seen as 'blemishes'. The norm has instilled in everyone, that to be beautiful you have to be flawless, and that is not the case! So many beautiful women feel not an ounce of self love because of the norms the fashion/beauty industry creates.
