I am a mystery to even myself most days, so describing who I am in a few sentences for the world to understand feels somewhat silly. Still, I've never let much stop me from taking on a challenge. I've lived my life with an imaginary audience surrounding me ever since I was a little girl. In the past, your eyes have been an intrusion. Now I've learned to live and love my self undefined by your gaze. So, perhaps it's time I let the world in and I introduced you to who I am. My name is Aurora. I’m just a 22-year-old trans kid from Upstate, NY. I love making music, baking, dancing with my friends (sometimes well), and creating worlds of my design wherever and whenever my imagination ignites. Some days I'm a romantic and a dreamer, some days I'm not so optimistic. Some days I'm just a girl who likes strawberries (maybe too many, but who's counting?) What I know for sure is I’m here to change the world, create art, and have fun doing it! That's my dream, and just like me, it stands taller than it looks.

The Fashion Hero is a wonderful series! I mean, it's a show that not only encompasses everything fashion needs morally but everything the world needs right now empathetically. A show that celebrates our differences and tells us they're not only natural but beautiful too! I've been searching for a place like that all my life and I know I'm not the only one. To me, that sounds like a lot of representation and a lot of fun! 😋 The Fashion Hero IS inspiration. I’m honestly grateful just for the chance to be a part of that.

I am a great role model for my generation because my goal in life is to create a better world than the one I landed in—and to inspire the next generation to do the same! As a former foster and the oldest of seven, I've always held one thing in my mind: Everyone deserves a home and a better, healthier, more accepting world than where we live. I want anyone who’s ever heard, "the world is never going to understand you," to realize that's okay! This world isn't supposed to understand you, it’s broken and with so much work undone, but you can create one that does! You can paint it, write it, design it, shake it from your heart until it comes out in a song if that's what it takes, but YOU have to do it! For years we were told to put our faith in others and trust them to lead us to better places. Isn't it something to know we can make them ourselves? :)
