Hello! My name is Stacia and I currently reside in St. Croix, US Virgin Islands. I'm a veterinarian by profession and own Sugar Mill Veterinary Center (http://www.sugarmillvetcenter.com) as well as manage my own nonprofit organization for animals, Sunshine Foundation (http://www.sunshinefoundationstx.org). In my free time I dance and perform with Caribbean Dance Company of the Virgin Islands(http://www.caribbeandancevi.com) and teach a Barre Fitness class twice weekly (https://www.facebook.com/barrestx/?ref=bookmarks). I also enjoy yoga and water sports such as surfing and paddleboarding. I'm a nature enthusiast and love the indoor/outdoor island life. I enjoy travel and adventure as well as the culinary arts and love to experiment in the kitchen with fresh local ingredients.

I am passionate about animal welfare, people, travel, nature, and food! One of my dreams is to develop a hip travel/vet show that would also showcase island lifestyle and cultures around the world! Animals and how we interact with them reflects so much about who we are as human beings, as a culture, and as a community.

So many people have told me that I should be ‘modeling’- not just fashion but also life! I have chosen an off the beaten path lifestyle and there is a lot of interest in my island life, my work with animals, and the culture of the community I live in. I think I could make a big difference in how people perceive what a ‘fashion hero’ is in this regard. I see this opportunity as a chance to share my passion for helping animals and people around the world and also as a way to redefine what a ‘model’ is in this day and age. We are all models for living the life we are passionate about and I believe I am a great example of this!
