Who am I?

I am 20 year old law student, blogger and singer from Reading U.K. My objective is to make other people of colour embrace who they are and realise their worth in a society in which we stigmatised and faced with mundane racism.

What do I think about A New Kind of Beautiful TV series Presented by The Fashion Hero TV series?

The fashion hero tv series is a extremely useful platform for people to inspire, motivate those that have lost their way and are trying to find their identity and their confidence. It would be an amazing way to represent the different subgroups within society, especially those that are underrepresented, such as the BAME community.

Why would I be a great role model for this generation and inspire people as the new face of A New Kind Of Beautiful TV series Presented by The Fashion Hero?

From the ages of 12 up to 16 years of age, I was the victim of racial bullying and abuse at school. This happened at a private school, in which the BAME community was very sparse. I was targeted for the size my lips, nose, my hair as well as my weight. It made me feel as though I was less than good enough and that no one would ever see my beauty. The bullying stopped when I decided to stand up the bullies and fake the confidence until I finally made the confidence. However, despite the fact that I’ve overcome this negative encounter, I never want anyone to feel this way! I want people to see me on The Fashion Hero, and have a spokesperson. I want them to feel worthy, beautiful and as though they have someone to look up to, because I’ve been through what they have been through. Especially with the age of social media and it’s fast technical advances which are allowing for cyber bullying to go almost undetected, it is imperative that the youth of today see that they can recover and come out of the other side. In order to illustrate the concept of motivation in face of racism, I run a website to talk about my story of racial abuse as well as, promote people in the BAME community that struggled through racism but have gone onto to be successful people in their chosen field.
