Hey everyone, my name is Lizmarie Persaud people call me Liz for short. I am from Guyana, South America and raised in Queens, New York. I am a journalism student at this time in Baltimore, Maryland.

I think this series is what I always wanted for the fashion industry. Too many times beautiful women and men are excluded because they don’t fit the mold the industry is looking for and this series is definitely the change we want and need to see. Beauty comes in all forms and the industry needs to be awakened by it.

I would be a wonderful role model for this generation because not only do I have a unique Guyanese background but I have the positivity and ambition to succeed in the industry. I’ve always stuck out in the crowd because I looked different from others. I want to show the world that we are all beautiful in our own rights and we need to see more of it and I want to do just that. One is the most beautiful things we need to do for ourselves is be more confident in the skin God have us.
