My definition of beauty is CONFIDENCE. Regardless of your weight, height, ethinicty, skin color, or what you're wearing, the power of beauty comes from within. Everyday woman are pressured into changing themselves to sustain today's overwhelming and unrealistic beauty standards. I hope to one day set a platform for woman to embrace their flaws and know that you are beautiful, inside and out.

My name is Shawna Rose. I'm 22 years old. I live in Onset, Massachusetts. We have cold winters but in the summer, the beaches are phenomenal. Ever since I was a young girl, I knew I wanted to become a model. Growing up in a family of 8, as a child I was accustomed to hand-me-downs and thrift shop clothes. However, that didn't matter. I'd always make someone else's clothes my own in a different way. By that, I mean I'd cut and tie and sew and dye almost everything I accumulated. (Fun fact I actually won best dressed in highschool) Fortunately, that never stopped. Til this day I still make my on rendition on a good percentage of the things I own and wear. In 2016, I auditioned for shows like America's Next Top Model and Project Runway. After not making the cut, I dedicated this past year to work on myself as a model and as a human being. So far I've done a handful of fashion runways, videos and editorial prints. I know I have what it takes to be a part of this movement and prove to the world that normal everyday people are BEAUTIFUL.

Fashion and modeling aren't the only things that interest me. I have a strong passion for art and music. When I'm not in front of the camera, I enjoy doing activities that are Hands-On such as painting, drawing, dancing, yoga or spending time with my beautiful nieces. When I do become a known model, my goal is to give back to my community by offering young females activities such as the ones I named above to enspire them to do what they love no matter what society thinks and to enstill good morals upon them.
