Who am I?

I am the youngest of three (and the only girl) from a single-mother household in the US. I am a college graduate of UC Berkeley and I began my profession as a teacher specializing in children with autism. I’ve been working hard this year on ensuring my students have the best education during distance learning. My goal is to uplift youth, and at risk minors through education and increasing their sense of self worth. I am an auntie, sister, a dog mom to a Maltese and I am a fashion model. I have been working tirelessly as a fashion model since 2016. I have been featured in multiple runway shows, my first wedding portfolio in 2019, I was featured in Firefly magazine this year and have collaborated with local brands expanding my portfolio drastically. My dream is to inspire others through my work. I personally battled with feeling unworthy and want to help others like me feel comfortable in their skin. My natural essence is a reflection that you can do ANYTHING that you set your mind to!

What do I think about A New Kind of Beautiful TV series Presented by The Fashion Hero TV series?

I think this is a great opportunity to select a role model our youth can look up to during these trying times. I notice most people, including myself, need more support than they’re getting. And no one should experience not feeling good enough or feeling alone because of increased levels of competition or economic setbacks. I want to help others who have felt that way because I can relate to the feeling. This is a great platform to find a mentor who understands that we’re in this together!

Why would I be a great role model for this generation and inspire people as the new face of A New Kind Of Beautiful TV series Presented by The Fashion Hero?

If you’re feeling like you cannot make it, remember that you are strong, smart and beautiful! I once had a teacher tell me that I wouldn’t last a day at a university and look at me now! I overcame so much adversity and my journey has taught me that we are all connected. Your problem isn’t only your problem, but it’s our problem! There’s one God and that’s what keeps me connected to others around me. I work hard for what I want and I don’t look like the traditional European beauty. From my journey as a black female in the fashion industry, I represent inclusion, diversity and strength. We’re truly in this journey together!
