I am mother who suffers from IBD, inflammatory bowel disease. I used to do make up artistry till my colon became septic and I required a total proctocolectomy and now I no longer have my colon, rectum, or large intestines. I suffer from multiple autoimmune disease and bring advocacy to IBD fashion due to chronic bloating and being comfortable. Medication can cause weight gain and I want to help those who can’t control their body on the inside by regaining some control over it by fashion and make up. I am very passionate and have a TikTok dedicated to it. I also speak on surviving child abuse and domestic violence.
I think it’s amazing. I’ve been trying to bring awareness about how hard fashion can be for woman who struggle with bloating especially with a jpouch or an ileostomy or just chronic bloating. Fashion should be comfortable and cute and you shouldn’t feel like you have no control or self confidence because of something you have no control over. Many woman suffer from bloating during their menstruation to so I know what I speak about on my socials is relative to many individuals.
I have individuals in my page that tell me all the time how much I have helped them and I had no intentions of doing anything but that. I think bringing awareness to individuals who are different can struggle with fashion but it doesn’t have to be hard, and you don’t have to do it alone. We can’t always control our body but we can regain our confidence.
