I’m a single mother to a teenage daughter and bully mix. I try to do everything I can to enjoy all that life has to offer. Some would call me a social butterfly
I think fashion hero is amazing and it allows people to have an opportunity, an experience even adventure into an industry that may not have never loved them openly a chance to feel some of the absolute best and not so best moments in fashion. I think the platform is all about what you create and take from it. It’s not always about the big shiny prize at the end for 99% of the people involved because only one can win. However everyone that’s selected is afforded an opportunity to experience some monumental moments in fashion history especially with all of the inclusivity.
I would be a great role model because I believe in fashion and I believe in loving yourself as that is the basis for fashion. I have guided my teenage daughter in her modeling career for over 10 years. She’s signed with some of the top agencies in the world for modeling (FORD, elite, Milk, LA Models) and she’s represented globally for fashion. She’s worked in Spain, London, New York, Los Angeles and Chicago. She worked in high fashion & e-commerce. I have worked in the background of all these moments guiding her as a single black woman in America fighting for her career while working my own professional career and wishing I could spend more time working with and alongside her. I would consider myself the perfect role model for anyone that wants to be a part of the fashion community because I embody the grit, the struggle, the agony, the long hours, the thinking out of the box and finding my own way of making fashion everything you can ever dream of. I want the world to love fashion as much as I do, it’s more than a trendy outfit at a boutique it’s about how you exude the way fashion makes you feel and that’s a feeling everyone should experience.
