I'm a pretty simple girl from BC, Canada. Growing up I was always concerned with what other people thought about me. I was self conscious of my smile, and often covered it while eating, or laughing. Fast forward to after graduation and orthodontics later, I had a double jaw surgery. While friends and family always said they never saw the difference, I suddenly felt a new confidence. It wasn't until after becoming a mom, that I truly started to come into my own. Now I wear what I feel is fun, and try to play with my style. I like athleisure, oversize and baggy, but also love a body hugging shape and heels every now and then. Everyone should love themselves regardless of the outside, but also feel empowered enough to change what they want.
I think it's pretty cool that there is a TV series in production focused on highlighting every day people in a special way.
I know what it's like to want to fit in, but I've come through it on the other side and finally feel comfortable knowing that no one needs to "fit in" ... we all deserve to stand out.
