Hi my name is Sarah, I’m a Canadian Born British, yes I’m politically British, not Chinese. Growing up I always had a flare for entertainment, but had the biggest fear of public speaking. However after meeting my high school classmates who became my best friends, I found myself becoming less and less afraid of public speaking/Proformence. As a female photographer and filmmaker I’m always seeking to break the norm of this male dominated field, and just to put smiles on peoples faces! I think that is the ultimate reward for a creator, to see their works appreciate and enjoyed by their audience!
To be quiet honest, I never heard about it till just now. But I’m extremely intrigued by the concept of the tv series!
Growing up I always had a great fear for public or large group meetings. It also wasn’t helpful that I had eczema and a water burn scar on my lap, it made me extremely self cautious. I would make a great role model for this generation since I have always strived to teach the younger generations during summer programs that their inside is what matters most (their heart). I want others to know that they could have a large scar, but it shouldn’t depict how others see them, and most importantly, how they see themselves. I never had the greatest of self confidence, whether be my looks, scars, grades, my voice, I was always the odd kid that even baffled my teachers. I want others to see and know that they can strive for more, it’s ok to have a couple scars, have mediocre skin, not be the tallest in class. “You just need to be yourself, love yourself first, and not let others define who you are.” I know it sounds a little generic, but I struggled with this myself, and want others to see that they can do it too!
