In the dictionary, 'beauty' is defined as, "the quality present in a thing or person that gives intense pleasure or deep satisfaction to the mind." In that description, notice that it says "the quality present IN a thing or person," not only confining the idea of beauty to simply what's on the surface, but what is beneath it. To me, beauty includes not only a pretty face, but a sparking personality, strong values to live by, and a kind heart. I am a student at Kent State University studying Fashion Design. Working in this harsh industry, I have realized that so many are blinded by the surface definition of beauty; the average six foot tall bombshell with flawless skin and defined cheek bones. When I found out about The Fashion Hero, I was thrilled with the idea that this surface definition of beauty could finally be mended. That is why I am so passionate about the objectives of this show. As a future designer, my goal is to create a clothing line that is represented by the everyday, yet beautiful, people of the world. It is time we recognize the true meaning of beauty, and I would be more than pleased to represent this concept.

Being persistent in your dreams is the first step to achieving them. My name is Lydia Troy and I have been modeling for about three years. It all began with the lovely and talented photographer, Sarah Loven, who helped my career to blossom in to what it is today by hiring me for countless, creative shoots and getting my name out there. Then I went on to meet Laura Zaleski, the producer for Zaleski Productions. She gave me the courage and motivation to dream big and not let others put me down. Within her company, I have modeled in Bridal shows, the Hall Of Fame Fashion show, NYC for Fall Fashion week, and other fashion runway shows. Even though I am not your typical runway model, I work hard in order to achieve my goals and ultimately pursue my passions. Laura eventually introduced me to Kamni, the owner of SoHo Chick, a wholesale company located in Wooster, Ohio. Modeling and working for SoHo Chick was an incredible opportunity for me. Not only did it lead me to being an assistant buyer/designer for the company, but I was lucky enough to travel to NYC, Las Vegas, Hong Kong, and China. I then learned what the Fashion Industry is truly all about, and I loved it. I have been a client of the Taxi Talent Agency for a year now and have been connected to wonderful modeling experiences through them. On the acting side, I work with a company called Tiaras and Treasures, Inc. located in Northeastern Ohio, where I obtain the role as various Disney Princesses and bring joy to little birthday girls on their special day. Additionally, I was recently cast in the movie, Underdogs, last summer as an extra and loved the energy of acting on set.
