I am a Guatemalan native who moved to the U.S. when I was 15 years old. Since then, I perfected my craft and built my brand around beauty Industry. I am very passionate about inspiring people to embrace their individuality. Growing up, I styled my sister’s hair and makeup in secret out of fear of being ridiculed and discriminated for not being man enough. Today, I am proud to share my talent with the world and Im not scared anymore.
This competition brings together many factors and values in which I believe. I love fashion and work in the beauty industry as an educator training professional makeup artists and stylists. What I love about this show is the diversity. Having participants from other parts of the world in one place allows us to learn more about each others cultures and problems as a society through our stories. In addition having AJ as host, He is one of my favorite singers, who with music managed to make my childhood and adolescence happy during difficult time in my life, every time I listened to music they transported me to a place far from pain. I think it would be a unique experience to be able to relive all these emotions in this competition and proof many people wrong.
I think that times and generations have changed and humans are evolving faster with technology. It is important that there are leaders of change who can be a model to inspire and promote education on topics of interest that affect all human beings as a society. acceptance and respect regardless of our race, sex, color or ethnicity should not be an issue in these times. Contrary to technology and how ease is to use all these communication platforms, it should be a way to further promote inclusion and not hate. This generation needs to start educating children, young people and all people in which equality and love is the heart of the family. The world needs to learn from positive stories that bring them hope and that they can feel identified with. I am ready to share my story with the world and be able to inspire millions by teaching them to fight to defend their talents and their identity. I hope together we are able to bring hope and change to this and future generations.
