Hi, my name is Jonathan Calixto. Peruvian-American born and raised in the Bronx, NY. I am applying for this as I would love to showcase my story on this platform in hopes to inspire others. From my own trials and tribulations I have been able to overcome adversity even through my difference of being gay and a minority. I want to showcase that those things that make me “different” are beautiful and we should own any differences and things that make us unique.

I am passionate about dancing, entertaining, hosting and reporting. I would love to fulfill my dreams of becoming an entertainer through modeling, acting, and creating my own personal lifestyle brand that assists and gives back to LGBT minority youth.

I can make a difference as a person who has worked as a writer, Public Relations, and in the fashion industry. I can use my experience to give back to others in providing actual feedback and testimonials from personal experience. Also having gone through adversity by being minority, and gay it has really thought me how to navigate situations and continue to fight for diversity and would love to showcase that to your viewers.
