Who am I?

I am a 21 year old transgender male. I was born "female" which suppressed me alot before coming out and following my heart. I have self harm scars and have battled with mental health my whole life but I am doing better and better every day. I want to show people that they don't have to be ashamed of their bodies. We are all perfectly imperfect and I want everyone to embrace their bodies! To love and to cherish them no matter what they appear like. I'm from Australia, apart from mental health problems and being transgender, I've been through family and domestic violence and experienced sexual abuse as a child. I was raped when I was 12. I've attempted suicide multiple times...my father told me when I was 16 that I would kill myself by the time I was 18 but here i am at 21 proving him wrong! I've experienced homelessness on and off since I was 13 and probably many other smaller issues that don't stick out in my mind. I want people to know that they can be happy and content with their bodies and I want people to know that they can make it through life without hating every aspect of it.

What do I think about The Fashion Hero TV Series?

I haven't seen it honestly.

Why would I be a great role model for this generation and inspire people as the new face of the Fashion Hero?

I believe I'd make a great role model for the newer generations. Sometimes we want someone who we can relate to and look for guidance through younger people. I'm very relatable and as you can see I've gone through more than most people. I lived as a "female" for the first 15 years of my life, I've felt the supression, I had the periods and the cramps, I can understand women because thats how I presented as I was growing up. I can also relate to men because that's what I truly know I am. It's not easy for men either and I don't want to make it out like it's easier for women (it's definitely not) but I understand the male logic as well. It's like I can see things from all perspectives and in that aspect, being trans is a super power. I believe that my purpose in life is to help others. Help them live themselves, help them thrive in life and reach their full potential. I want everyone to succeed. I want everyone to feel the happiness I feel. I have been at rock bottom many times with very serious attempts on my life. I want to show people that it doesn't matter what you've been through or how they present themselves to the world that they are beautiful and strong. And I will.
