Who am I?

I am a 29 year old woman (scorpio for anyone who likes astrology), born in Canada but raised in Panama. I come from a mixed family (my mom's european and my dad's latino). Growing up I had experienced what I think a lot of us go through as teenagers: confusion, depression, non acceptance of self-image, but I did not deal with it in the healthiest way AT ALL. Along the way, I developed an eating disorder (bulimia) which has affected me since I was around 14-15. Today, after a LOT of ups and downs, I still can't say I am "cured", as this is a day to day rollercoaster, but I am happy to say that I am on a path of self love and discovery, which I may have not gone through if not for my eating disorder, so I am a true believer that everything happens for a reason, even though if in the moment we don't realize why. I have always been very open about this topic as I never received the proper support, which eventually made things worse, so if I am able to help you in any way, even if it's just listening, I will. I LOVE animals, I have 1 mini schnauzer (Indi) and 1 husky (Okami). I have studies in Psychology, which I originally chose in order to understand and help myself overcome my eating disorder since I didnt feel anything else was working and I honestly was very scared that I would die if I didn't stop. Currently, I work as a Finance Trainer, so I love interacting and helping others grow in their professional and even personal lives. I enjoy humour so much, I LOVE laughing and goofing around, it was probably my defense mechanism because of my childhood "traumas" but I truly believe that laughter is a great medicine and I enjoy spreading it to others. :) Oh! I also really enjoy baking, I took classes when I was younger. I started selling after I brought samples to work and its been going good, it's just a start up, but you have to start somewhere right? I speak English, Spanish and can defend myself in Hungarian.

What do I think about the Fahsion Hero TV Series?

To be honest, I haven't watched entire seasons but I love the fact that they are celebrating diversity because it showcases how everyone is unique and beautiful in their own way, it gives hope to the hopeless, it shows that change is REAL and happening and if we continue to support and show love to each other, we will be able to live in harmony with ourselves and our surroundings!

Why would I be a great role model for this generation and inspire people as the new face of the Fashion Hero?

I have been through some deep things and I am sure there are people who have had it worst and in no way do I want to come accross as a victim. The reason I think I would be a good role model is because I already am one, to a few people, but I appreciate those few so much for trusting me. This opportunity will help me take it to another level, this has been something I have always wanted to do but I never really figured out how to start (a blog, a podcast, etc.) and I was suddenly scrolling through social media when boom! I saw the ad to join this amazing initiative and I took it as a sign, I feel like I have been putting my intentions out there to the universe and the universe has answered back, I am leaning into discomfort as this is out of character but hopefully you all see the potential and I am able to make it through. Thanks for reading!
