Hello! My name is Niko (Nicole) Rodriguez and I'm a 22 year old from San Bernardino, California. I graduated from university with a Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design & Marketing in 2018 and am currently trying to start my own creative studio. I'm 5'8 and about 180lbs with brown hair and dark brown - almost black - hair. I have a history of dealing with skin conditions such as eczema and around the time I started modeling, I was dealing with what I now know to be Topical Steroid Withdrawal (please look into it if you or someone you know takes steroids for skin issues, it's not all that rare nor something that goes away quickly in most cases!). Photos shown were taken during the end of the struggle and are something I am very proud about. Since those photos, I have definitely put on some weight and have had my fair share of mixed emotions relating to “beauty standards”. I’m trying my best to get back out and feel good in my own skin again.

As the next Fashion Hero I would make a difference by voicing out that it's okay to morph – to change over time – and it is most definitely okay to feel EVERY emotion along the way. We all have a journey in this life and even though our experiences may not be the same, they are often similar. We can all learn from each other and I find beauty in sharing both the light and dark of our journeys.
