Who am I?

My name is Quentin Lemariey, but I go by "Nekow" on social media, which is also my gamer tag. I'm 26 years old, based in Versailles, France. While I did some photo shoots for friends when I was younger, I never really focused on it. It wasn’t until later that I learned to embrace my body and overcome insecurities about my slim figure. Photography played a key role in helping me build confidence, and it’s now something I’m passionate about. I identify as a typical geek — I work in IT, love video games, anime, and my fashion reflects this world, giving me a sense of belonging and safety. I’m a deeply emotional and expressive person, which I showcase on TikTok under the name "NekowKun." Though I may seem reserved and observant, my emotions run deep.

What do I think about The Fashion Hero TV series?

I want to participate in this contest because it breaks away from traditional beauty standards and doesn’t limit participants based on size or appearance. It’s an international competition, welcoming participants from all over the world, which aligns with my values of self-acceptance through photography and being authentic in fashion. I believe The Fashion Hero represents the idea of embracing individuality, and I want to show that the geek culture, with its unique codes, can be taken seriously in fashion. I aim to prove that a geek can also be a role model for the younger generation and within the fashion world. This contest is about breaking boundaries and expressing singular forms of beauty.

Why would I be a great role model for this generation and inspire people as the new face of The Fashion Hero?

As a proud geek who grew up immersed in video games, anime, and geek culture, I understand the stereotypes and challenges that come with being part of this world. I’m someone who embraces my identity—whether it’s wearing my headphones and Nightowl hoodie or expressing my love for Harry Potter and anime. Even though geek culture has become more widespread, it still isn’t fully accepted by everyone, and that’s something I want to challenge. I believe I can inspire others by showing that we can break these stereotypes while embracing who we are. I want to carve out a space in the fashion world where geek culture and its unique codes are celebrated as part of high fashion. We deserve to be seen, and I’m ready to represent this generation of geeks with pride.
