Who am I?

Hi, my name is Savannah! This question is always a funny one to answer, one that I never really know how to answer. Most people describe who they are based off of what they do, but even that description is unclear for me. I am a free spirit. I love travelling, love animals, hikes and nature. I express myself through all things creative. I am a model, a content creator, travel blogger, painter, and have even dabbled in sharing my own gluten free healthy recipes! I am still in the process of figuring out who I am but I love experiences that encourage me to grow and find out.

What do I think about The Fashion Hero TV series?

I think it is amazing that a show like this even exists! It gives people who aren't usually asked a voice and shows that beauty is much more than someone's appearance.

Why would I be a great role model for this generation and inspire people as the new face of The Fashion Hero?

I would be a great role model as the face of a "A new kind of beautiful" because I would be representing real skin in a way that has never been publicly demonstrated before. Being a professional model has always been a dream of mine but the unrealistic beauty standards of perfect skin made me feel like modelling with eczema wasn't an option for me. It wasn't like acne in the way that it was just on my face and could be covered up with makeup. I couldn't cover scaly red skin because it was all over my body and makeup would only make it worse and infected. In the last year I started to share my journey on Tiktok of facing my own fears and limitations on modelling. I never realized how many people felt the same way as I did and needed someone to represent them until my comments sections blew up with people saying things like: "I've always wanted to see models with eczema... its nice to see a different side to the beauty industry... I've suffered from eczema my whole life and always felt insecure about it... thank you for inspiring me... your videos helped me so much... thank you for representing and showing an audience to accept normal skin... just seeing this video made me feel not alone"... and so much more! The comment that encouraged me to apply for this show came yesterday: "I showed my 5 year old this video. She was so happy. Didn't think people were out there like her. She gets picked on for it. I loved seeing this." I want to be an inspiration and role model for the little girl in me that never had someone to represent her growing up. I want to encourage people to question the standard and not limit themselves based off of what has never been done before.
